The government has made the development of small enterprise a priority item. One of the areas in which the growth of employment is on the increase is within businesses catering to tourists. The countries with whom South Africa has its greatest business in trade are the neighbouring contries. Other countries belonging to South Africa´s biggest trading partners are Great Britain and France. The great differences in wages and standards of living makes for a highly segregated economy.
